To install Athena on a sparc-os:

1) Create a directory "athena" somewhere off your
home directory.

2) Copy the athena-sparc-sunos.tar file to that directory.

3) Go to that directory and Untar the file: 
           %tar -xvf athena-sparc.tar

4) You should now have the following 4 files in your 
directory: athena, athena-heap.sparc-sunos,
run.sparc-sunos, and README.

5) To run Athena, simply type "%athena" at your Unix
prompt. That will give you the top-level Athena prompt ">". 
You are now ready to enter and evaluate Athena expressions and 
deductions.


Note: You can save your Athena code in a file and then 
load the file into Athena by saying ">(load-file file-name)"
